Reply:My Aunty themed each of her daughters names:

Lily (Flower) May (Month)

Ruby (Jewel) Tuesday (Day, also song)

Now she's expecting another little girl:

Cherry (Fruit) Grace (Virtue)

Other flower names that wont get kids picked on are

Rose

Daisy

I think any other name such as Iris, Petunia and Mariogold would get a child picked on at school for years to come. Also naming kids after book characters (Harry Potter-Petunia, The Girl From Barefoot House- Marigold) and film characters (Iris) is unfair. Kids need to develop their own personalities, rather than being labeled by films or books.

Hope that helps

Reply:Rose. That's one of my names....my mother would plant different roses in the yard every year for me...and I would always get roses for my birthday. The rose has always been sentamintal to me for that reason.

Reply:lol I'm probably really late on this but here it goes:

Violet, Lily, Iris, Marigold, Dahlia (one of my favorites), Rose (Rosalie, Rosamund, Rosette, Rosemarie, etc), Flora (and Florrie, Florence, etc - not actually a flower though lol, sorry), Hyacinth (or Cynthia), Basil, Fern, Linnea (means lime tree - sort of a flower lol), Ivy, Aster, Amaryllis (could use Ami as a nickname), Bluebell, Camilla/Camille (Cam or Milly), Daisy, Hazel, Ginger, Heather, Holly, Heath, Jasmine, Juniper (love this name - Junie is so cute), Jonquil (Jonnie), Jessamine (means Jasmine), Laurel (a really nice alternative to the ever popular Lauren), Lilac, Leif, Magnolia (Maggie, Lia, Nola), Meadow (which is full of flowers... lol), Olive, Pansy, Poppy, Sachet, Saffron, Sage, Sorrel, Wisteria (love this), Willow (well, it's a tree, close enough), and Zinnia are all the flower-y names I can think of.

My favorites here are probably Violet, Lily, Dahlia, Sachet, Juniper, and Hazel.

Good luck!!
