Reply:it is a Dandelion and it's leaves are edible. There is an African variety that they grew in Mccarthy hall at Cal State fullerton a few years ago and it had the hugest leaves and flower head

Reply:It is called a Dandelion my mom has great memories of picking them for salads when she grew up ,she is 81 now maybe that is why

Reply:Right...a dried up dandelion is when it looks like a cotton ball. To make a wish, kids either pick the petals off of an alive dandelion or daisy.

Reply:Dandelion. It has a yellow flower and when it goes to seed you get the cotton ball. Did you know that you can eat the leaves also?
